I love coaching because it brings together my two favorite things: Basketball and Helping People | Aspiring Neuropsychiatrist | My burdens are my blessings

West Side #53 taking it to the hole!! All high school coaches should be encouraging their players to volunteer for the Special Olympics. #ChooseToInclude #soma @SpOlympicsMA

Thrive Red Hawks #44 with the breakaway lay-up! #ChooseToInclude #SOMA @SpOlympicsMA

Great shot by #52 here at Worcester North High School! #SOMA @SpOlympicsMA @SpecialOlympics

All high school basketball needs a shot clock without question. 🏀

Hurricane opens the 4th period with the ball and holds it until the 4:11 mark just inside the timeline when it calls a timeout. It trails 26-24. #wvprepbb

Congrats @CerrutiKiara on being a Boston Globe player of the week!

"When we willingly perform a task that we should...do for a group, our heart isn't completely in it. This slight reluctance holds back our teammates... When every member of the team eagerly performs every task, the group rises to a new level of accomplishment" - Coach John Wooden

All players should listen to Robert Kraft here talk about missed or bad calls. It is a part of the game. Stop complaining or thinking about what-ifs and instead find ways to win no matter what

The most frustrating thing for me as a HS Coach is seeing young people with God-given ability that are too selfish to appreciate & use it. So many could’ve beens because someone was afraid to tell them the truth or discipline them.

I love this time of year between Christmas and the New Year. It’s a time of reflection, hope, vision and possibility. A time to think about who you want to be and the life you want to create.

Will you commit to this?

There are a lot more points to go around when you play as a team instead of focusing on yourself. Everyone can "get theirs" if you work together, but no one will be succesful if you only think about "yours". WE > ME

Basketball coaches could learn a thing or two from this video! “We’re not going to yell and scream at kids, we’re not going to cuss at kids, I don’t think that’s the right thing to do. I don’t want kids to be afraid to go and make a great play.”

Coach Cerruti Reposted

I'd rather my players stay between their man and the basket and force tough shots than apply too much pressure that gets them blown by 20x per game.

Coach Cerruti Reposted

Successful teams consist of players working hard and working together, while never worrying about who gets the credit.

Top 10 best compliments: 10. You 9. Can't 8. Rank 7. Them 6. Because 5. They're 4. All 3. Equally 2. Nice 1. When you catch the basketball in a game and the opposing team's coach yells to their players "shooter!"

There are certain times for iso offense (like when changing the pace of the game). NOT every single possesion... This is the NBA, not streetball. Where's the ball movement? Why waste the shot clock?

Believe IN YOURSELF through everything. Have the confidence that no matter what hand you're dealt, you will make the most of it. Control the controllables
