The hope we should have is that our presence impacts the lives of others in some way. That we can make a difference in someone’s life that will empower them a little bit more to help with whatever they may be going through. That is the greatest gift you can give someone.

Players arent injury prone, you didnt train them right, didn’t educate them enough on life choices. No one is perfect and you cant help everyone. However, you can ruin a players career if you don’t know what you’re doing. Do your homework when hiring, don’t hire convenience.

Five World Series rings and Derek Jeter will still be forever haunted by blowing a 3-0 series lead to David Ortiz and the 2004 Boston Red Sox. He will never know peace and Papi will make sure of it.

A great man and a great leader, rest easy coach.

Make sure you are getting OBJECTIVE RESULTS. Subjective feeling isn’t good enough and can do a lot of harm.

"I think you have a greater chance to lose your team when you're transactional as a leader. Which is the way I was until 1998. In other words, everything was about winning or losing... Negative experiences without teaching kills morale..." - Nick Saban

This should go without saying, unfortunately in NEEDS to be said.

Be smart. Be intentional.

Commitment Over Compliance, there is a major difference!!

If you’re not using objective data to quantify your program then you could be missing out on improving your athletes. While subjective responses are great they can also be biased based on the relationship. Getting data takes out emotion and leads with facts! #Wired2Win
