Well said Mark.

This morning in the House of Commons I shared my reflections on the blockades and occupation of the past weeks in our country. Now, more than ever, is the time to focus on how we can work together to heal ourselves and our communities.

These people are so brave. They know the possible consequences.

A view of the protest in central Moscow this evening. Thousands across the country are risking serious repercussions to protest Putin’s attack on Ukraine. More than 850 people detained so far.

Powerful statement.

The Auschwitz Memorial statement on the situation in Ukraine.

Well done @JustinTrudeau @markhollandlib Did what it was intended to do with minimal incidents. Thank you!!!!

"The situation is no longer an emergency," @JustinTrudeau says, as government puts an end to the use of the Emergencies Act. PM says local laws are sufficient to deal with the threat.

The Emergencies Act exactly served it’s purpose. It was: 1. Targeted only where it was needed. 2. Proportionate to the threat. 3. Lasted only as long as needed. 4. Always maintained Charter Rights. #cdnpoli

Driving is a privilege. Owners of vehicles should pay for licence plate renewal fees—not taxpayers. If you can afford a vehicle, you can afford the annual the fees.

Great news, Ontario! We’re eliminating licence plate renewal fees and stickers on March 13th for passenger vehicles, light duty trucks, motorcycles & mopeds. Plus, we will be refunding millions of drivers for fees paid since March 2020.

Keep my licence sticker money & put it towards health care, LTCs & education. @fordnation Haven’t we learned anything yet??

Thank you for your excellent reporting. How can we teach people that a free, responsible press is what keeps governments accountable to the people they serve?

Reporter notebook: we are leaving Ottawa after covering the truck convoy/protest in Vaughan/Ottawa/Toronto/Windsor/Sarnia/Ottawa. And after seeing the most intense urban policing operation in my journalism career. 1/ #Ottawa

Disgusting. Good for you @JenOConnell_ for making it public.

Totally unacceptable. These losers need to be called out every time

Yes! And thank you to @DRPS & all police services serving on front lines of Ottawa illegal occupation.

From all of us at DRPS, a huge and heartfelt thank you to health-care workers for all you have done on the front-lines of this pandemic. We salute you.

Yes! I didn’t realize we had so many ignorant people in our midst. Increase education funding.

Once all this is over, I hope everyone in Canada is forced to take a Gr. 5 social studies class on how parliament functions, etc.

Thank you to all the brave journalists who have covered this story. A great job.

Some protestors have ramped up their anger at journalists. @glen_mcgregor and I were both doing reports at a camera and protestors surrounded us, yelled fake news, lies, Nazi, disrupted Glen’s live hit, one guy spat at us and then followed us as we left. Getting worse #cdnpoli

Thank you for your coverage. Well done!!

That’s a wrap on the bridge blockade story. Almost a week here in Windsor. Thanks to trusted cameraman/editor @capati_patrick for the teamwork. My colleagues @MDroletGlobalTV and Nick Vyschaft have arrived to bring follow-up coverage on @GlobalNational @globalnewsto -30-

Way to go Ottawa residents!

Ottawa residents have blocked dozens of Convoy vehicles from entering downtown. Their blockade started at 9 this morning..going on 6 hours. It is -21 C with the windchill. Don't see any propane tank heaters/ generators/or illegal bonfires keeping them warm

No not different science but they have had far more deaths. 3 to 1 per capita.

This post is unavailable.

So let me get this straight: The Canadian women's hockey team wore N95 masks while easily beating Russia 6-1 at the Olympics...but some people are so inconvenienced by having to wear a mask that they're holding the city of Ottawa under siege & claiming it's all about "freedom?"
