Active heritage learning with Ted. The children enjoyed discussions on emotions, recognising their emotions and strategies to deal with them.

Y1 had an Equine Therapy session today. A fun and informative morning. Thank you so much to Clare, Karen and Faunchae from Gortilea. It was a great morning! 🐎🐎🐴🐴

Delighted to deliver equine assisted OT services as part of the Mace project.

The two fabulous short films shown today at the MACE Project Celebration event demonstrate the important role of the Community & Voluntary sector in providing family support interventions. Thank you to the many C & V orgs, delivering for families, through MACE. #SEUPB #WHSCT

What a great space for outdoor learning. Well done St Colmcilles for your forward thinking and recognising the value of actively learning by doing. What a fab classroom.

We are delighted to announce that our Outdoor Classroom has been completed. Gareth McMonagle from Claudy Sheds with Malachy McKeever and Clement Peoples have done an outstanding job in building the classroom. The children are really looking forward to using it! 🕊️

Just found this tweet by Clare, who has contributed to the forthcoming 6th edition of the MOHO textbook, sharing her use of the MOHOST to evidence the positive impact of her work at Gortilea Social Farm. Fab work!

Really looking forward to the Royal College of Occupational therapists conference next week. I will be presenting a poster on the findings from my MSc research on our GAITS equine assisted learning programme. This study proves the value of EAL as a healthcare intervention in NI.

Here's a Recovery Through Activity question for Northern Ireland OTs: I'm interested in where RtA is being used in the UK and can find evidence of it being used by Welsh, English & Scottish OTs. Have there been any articles written or conference presentations made by NI services?
