This is strangely meditative to have in the background on a quiet Saturday morning: youtube.com/watch?v=a1xdTr…

The world's busiest week at work ended with fellowship of the ring on dvd, the company of a friend of the good, old, comfortable and snarky sort, and plenty of chocolate. Life's good

On a more positive note, I really really want to learn needlework lace making. Because I needed yet another very time-consuming hobby, I suppose (or maybe I'm just too easily influenced!)

It's probably sacrilegious to put coffee in a container clearly labelled "finest tea blend" but it's a nice box and I have no shame. Another way to confuse house guests maybe?

Even if you're not into costuming/cosplay/historical garments whatsoever, everyone should watch this CoCoVid livestream on inclusion in the costuming community: youtube.com/watch?v=b3tdjR…

Really really want to make a swishy swooshy skirt. A few problems: 1. I don't have a sewing machine and can't use one, 2. Never sewn a garment before, 3. Can't afford the right fabric, and 4. Can't find the right pattern. So let's forge right ahead!

Despite cooing over fluffy cats and cuddly dogs, evidence suggests that my favourite animal might actually be goats. Get everywhere they shouldn't, eat everything, inquisitive, noisy, slightly odd, cute yet amply able to cause pain if crossed (and they know it!).

Been binging CosTube-livestreams this weekend. Current favourite (and I'm only twelve minutes in) is this one: youtube.com/watch?v=22veOz…

After ten minutes of worldbuilding an empire has now changed size and moved, moving three other countries and a mountain range in the process. Now I have to redo all my nifty charts over exact size, population density and the like. Yay, more work

Just discovered this gem of a video: youtube.com/watch?v=VjFFrY… I love ancient Egypt but I love this type of videos even more

Really wish it was possible to follow a stretching program without feeling completely and utterly deformed, or like a walrus - can't even get close to the IT band stretch due to a bothersome need to be able to breathe at the same time. And I'm not even that fat!

Spending my Sunday on the sofa with coffee and a good book, listening to the rain outside and resting my exhausted feet after dancing at the fleadh yesterday. Right now, life is good
