Something that Tanya Talaga said a couple of weeks ago that hasn’t left me: when you think of Murray, think of the weight of hearing thousands of accounts of untold horror, and the toll it would take on your body. Think of taking that on. cbc.ca/news/politics/…

The @OC_Transpo LRT service cuts must be reversed. This is not a way to rebuild public trust in the system. At the very least, we need to hear an honest explanation of why this change was made. #ottnews

At tomorrow's meeting of the Transit Commission, I'll be seeking to reverse the off-peak LRT frequency cuts announced this summer. LRT frequency is one of the bright spots in our transit system; maintaining 5-minute service is how we build the system residents want.

This game was absolutely electric to watch. Congratulations to our women’s rugby 7s team!!

GOING FOR GOLD 🇨🇦 🏉 The Canadian women’s rugby 7 stun Australia 21-12 to advance to the gold medal game later today. Best host France. Now Australia. Guaranteed a medal. I was there when they qualified for these Games. They never stopped believing. What a story.

Graham is the epitome of class and professionalism. Great reporter; better person. I’m thrilled that he gets to exit on his own terms in an industry that often discards reporters with little regard. But this is a big loss because we need more journalists like him in our market.

31 years on the air. I am so grateful to our viewers. Thank you. This is my choice to go now. I will have more to say about a new opportunity outside of media next week. ottawa.ctvnews.ca/ctv-news-ottaw…

Highways and sprawl isn’t just terrible for your life (the high personal and financial cost of the long commute) and terrible for the environment, it’s also terrible for cities and governments because the math doesn’t work. Sprawling cities are broke. Sprawl inducing highways…

Houston is broke, but so are some of the richest cities in Silicon Valley. What do they have in common? Not politics. Not governance. It's the development pattern. The way they build their places has made them insolvent. 1/

We are normally ~discouraged~ from sharing this kind of stuff But when the BCE CEO is making $13.5 million and the Bell Media President makes $4.8 million? And my pals are getting laid off constantly? I think it’s time we question who that silence benefits!

Government costs for building new housing are through the roof. 100k in Federal and Provincial taxes! In a low interest rate environment, it was possible to get away with this. But as developers contend with high borrowing, construction and material costs, the math doesn't add…

.@NORADCommand has the very special mission of tracking Santa using the same systems they use every day: satellite systems, high-powered radar, and jet fighters. NORAD and its predecessor, CONAD, have tracked Santa’s flight around the world each Christmas since 1955! (1/2)

To make sure all was in place for tonight, I got a special briefing at @NORADCommand on an important mission: Tracking Santa. More than 1,500 Canadian & U.S. uniformed personnel & civilians will volunteer their time to answer thousands of calls & give updates on Santa’s journey.
