Prison is designed for punishment, we get it. But to punish lesser involved folks who harmed no one, with a life or death sentence, is a draconian and barbaric practice that other countries and states have already abolished. When is it our turn, Florida? @GovRonDeSantis
Because we’ve lost sight of reason why people are sent to prison. Not because we are mad at them but if they are dangerous. The FMR failed to properly allow for innocent behavior and criminalized those who truest are not liable for acts of co-defendants. This is diabolical.
If Florida were to amend the FMR, prison overcrowding would ease, taxpayer $ could be used elsewhere, those who harmed no one nor took a life would see redemption and maybe...just maybe, it could the start of fixing a broken and unjust system... @GovRonDeSantis @FLSheriffs

Florida's misuse and abuse of the Felony Murder Rule has led to massive incarceration, chronic prison overcrowding and a complete waste of hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars. And for what...? Can anyone answer that??? #amendtheFMR
This is A PROBLEM though. Felony Murder Rule also a huge issue. @GovRonDeSantis unwilling to review ANY CLEMENCY submissions with murder. I am a proud lifetime Republican, but Gov DeSantis has been remiss in this duty. @florida_cares @WeHEARTFla @FLSenate @FLGOPMajority
Florida is on the front lines in the fight to protect kids from having irreversible damage done to their bodies. We need more states like Florida. We need more leaders like Governor DeSantis.

In order for our criminal justice system & laws to fully acknowledge adolescent brain development we have to stop giving individuals 25 & under life sentences & correct our mistakes of those we already sentenced.
That Felony Murder Rule destroys lives and sentences people to life or death for a crime someone else committed. How in the hell is that justice? 🤔 It's NOT! So we continue to speak out and fight for change and stand up for what we believe in. ❤️
He put two good boys to prison and destroyed their future for his political ambition. The one that struck the negligent irresponsible pedestrian and child got 6 yrs plea deal and charged as ADULT. He charges juvies as Adult. What reform? Nakeeba Ryan? 60 days jail.
