Pastoral shepherds are not *entitled* to loyal, adoring sheep. Pastoral shepherds are *entrusted* with all kinds of sheep - and donโt get to pick and choose the ones that automatically fall in line. I tell my students to choose another vocation if they canโt embrace this.
Today is the most important day. You find out if Easter succeeded. Did all the guests come back? Is your attendance bigger? Your church success is defined by platform size and Easter was your best chance to get people to come back! Making Easter about anything else is silly!
The problem is that too many people aren't being led by a visionary megachurch senior pastor. How else will anyone learn appropriate leadership principles! Then there are no emotions involved - just follow your church leadership!
The problem is that many women have been coddled their entire lives. They were raised with gentle parenting and taught to be led by their emotions and feelings rather than being taught to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. This is why theyโre so greatlyโฆ
It's too bad not everyone sees the value of a church consultant. I have my doubts he will be effective at any churches without my influence. His platform can't grow!!!
I suggest lead pastors live by the 8x8x8 model. Give 8 hours per week to the platform (speaking, conferences, signing books), have 8 assistants and associate pastors to handle all the day to day things that get in the way, and whenever you are tired take an 8-week sabbatical.
Feeling overwhelmed? Try the 8x8x8 Model for work-life rhythm. Dedicate 8 hours each to sleep, work, & personal time. Do this 6 days and then dedicate a 7th day to a full sabbath.
Now THIS is how you make much of the Risen Lord and build an audience worthy of megachurch level acclaim!

Who needs credentials when you have calling? Who needs real expertise when you feel that something is right? This applies to all leaders and counselors. If God is using them, who cares if they have appropriate skills or training for the things they do!

If our leaders had real Biblical ethics, when they say they want to depoliticize the pulpit, what theyโd mean is theyโd be taking stronger stands on issues like abolition than any politician possibly could. Instead they run cover for RINOs and Biden.
