Can relate... Getting called a farmer in school was the biggest insult. Now I am delighted to have been brought up on a farm. It made me curious about everything! And think of all those cool microbes I was exposed to by getting covered in muck and working in calf sheds 🦠🤷♀️
Historically growing-up in Wales those interested in Ag were deemed 'hambons', meaning 'non-academic'. Attempting to be trendy I studied zoology not animal science, although interests were in Ag! I now embrace being an academic hambon in a field that has never been as important!
