No 2 again in the list of the worlds most beautiful gin bottles. Thank you Euan! We’ll drink to that...
[Some previous collabs] My most read post last year with almost 20,000 views, so time to update for 2021 with some absolute beauts added to the list! fromtheginshelf.com/the-most-beaut…
Hope you enjoyed it Helen & Cooking Doctor. Beautiful day for it!
Sitting in the sun with the Cooking Doctor, out the back garden and having a nice G&T. Now pizza from @DaMimmoDublin due!
Harriet Low Hillard (1809-1877) and her aunt became known as the first American women to go to China. She was a diarist & kept a journal of her years in the east #traveling. This portrait was taken by British painter George Chinnery (1774–1852). #WomenHistoryMonth
I am happy to recommend @ChinneryGin, @DingleWhiskey Gin, and @SHEDDISTILLERY Drumshanbo Gin. All packed with flavour. (I put gin into two categories, 1. Those you can drink neat due to quality spirit; & 2. Those that you need to put half the garden into!) Listed are the former👍🏻
'Oriental Group' ~ George Chinnery (1836). Chinnery made spirited sketches of scenes in India and China, where he lived for nearly 50 years. We see a boy with a hat on the right, next to a girl with a blue shawl and red scarf holding a baby.
'Portrait of a Young Mandarin' ~ George Chinnery. A portrait painting of a young Mandarin, seated and wearing a robe bordered in blue and pink. On the front of his robe is a piece of embroidery of a white bird flying among pink flowers and green leaves.

[Gifted bottle] With its stunning bottle, @ChinneryGin really stands out from the crowd. Drawing inspiration from Georgian Dublin and Imperial China, read my review of this Irish gin 🇮🇪 buff.ly/37enPy0
Friday cocktails - South of the Border and Vesper Martini made with @ChinneryGin Dublin Dry Gin. I'm all about the Irish gin at the moment 😊.
It's Sunday but what the hell... Cornwall Negronis made with @ChinneryGin Dublin Dry Gin. Very nice...
It’s now an actual *book*. Hot off the press. Can’t believe it. Thanks @ivanobp @OBrienPress In book shops when they reopen or available to pre-order on obrien.ie or online sites of book shops. Thanks to all who have bought x #stairliftascends
Tonight's cocktail is something special - a Dublin Bee's Tease - @ChinneryGin, Nessa Winders' Royal Canal Honey, lemon juice and lapsang souchong tea. Delicious.
Love these balsamic vinegars, especially the cherry. We’ve used them in some our more unusual cocktails but they have become a fixture at home too, on everything 😋
Next in our producer lineup is the artist turned balsamic vinegar maker Fionntan Gogarty. Fionntan’s Irish fruit vinegars and made in Mayo. We are dreaming of the barrel aged cherry drizzled over a wedge of crispy gubbeen. #thisisirishfood
It’s fab - one of our favorites 🌟 & Irish to boot! Enjoy 🍸 @ChinneryGin #supportlocal #irishgin
Among @TheHughLane's collection are 10 paintings and sketches by George Chinnery, including this one. The connection with the artist goes deeper, however, since the Earls of Charlemont were clients of Chinnery's during his time in Dublin. Their home is now the Hugh Lane gallery.

Is the Christopher Biden in this George Chinnery portrait an ancestor of the Democratic presidential nominee? Joe Biden has spoken of his India connection. Eurasia Review investigates: eurasiareview.com/02092020-joe-b…
