They know what they are doing.

I guess they’re going to burn the Nature Boardwalk prairie soon? Seems like a tinderbox at the moment, hope they know what they’re doing 😳

This is outrageous! We all know parking lots are simple land grabs!

What's YOUR opinion regarding DePaul's plan to demolish 80 units of student housing in five historic buildings to build a new practice gym instead of building on their parking lot? Let your voice be heard! Public meeting Thurs, 11/9 at 6pm eventbrite.com/e/community-me… @Eventbrite

This is a heartbreak!

Sharp-shinned Hawks are--dare we say--cute hawks that, while scarcely bigger than a Blue Jay, are feisty enough to take down a robin. But no matter the size of a bird's heart, he will never win against a Chicago window. This young bird's journey ended in our city today.

Excellent news! We now have four plovers in ploverville.

Three endangered piping plovers have just been released into the wild in a protected site at Montrose Beach in an effort to aid in species recovery. This marks the first time plovers are being released in the city— hopefully they’ll make friends with Imani! @wttw

I used to live there. I remember the old "so called "rummy" hotels there.

Tom Waits reminisced about staying in a rundown hotel at Belmont and Sheffield. “The lady behind the counter was the mother of the Marlboro Man,” he noted. robertloerzel.com/2006/08/21/tom…

Swap those bright blue-white porch lights for warmer colors & use motion-activated lights if possible. And don’t illuminate house plants inside windows! It’s also important to treat big windows at single family & low-rise bldgs - @FLAPCanada has great info & ideas on their site.

~50% of all birds migrating will pass through on only ~9 nights in the season. Tonight will be one of those MEGA migration nights. Please turn off lights to help the birds go along their merry way. Have paper bags ready to contain injured birds, and call us for help! 773-988-1867

Wonderful news. I hope he sticks around and follows in his father’s feather floofs!

Incredible! Imani is back in town after taking a detour and pit stop in Duluth! Is he on a tour of the Great Lakes?
