50 years ago on this day, 10-11 Dec '71 on the western front Lt.Col.(retd.Brig) Sukhjit Singh led his tank (14 Horse) and destroyed 8 Pakistani tanks and captured 1 Pakistani officer, 2 JCO's and 2 other Pakistani tanks. He was awarded the Maha Veer Chakra.
