This from the OBR is potentially a serious problem for Reeves and Starmer. It says that real household disposable income will be 1.25% lower at the start of 2029 than it expected in March, before the election, with 85% of this fall "explained by policies announced in this budget"…

My reaction to the Budget… An attack on employment, an attack on entrepreneurialism, an attack on farming. Many hardworking Brits will look at the detail and simply think, what’s the point?
Embarrassingly for Reeves and Starmer, the OBR says this enormous budget will “leave GDP largely unchanged in five years”, though it temporarily boosts output in short term
So they have stated no growth in the next 5 years but record borrowing…there’s only one outcome….. #SkintBritain #WeAreFuc£ed
