A solid two days of migration on Hampstead Heath which has included Pied Flycatcher, 5 Common Redstart, 4 Tree Pipit & 2 Spot Fly personally. Overall we had 8 Redstart all together yesterday!
Birding in the UK doesn’t get much better than this...
A decent bit of migration in today with the first few Wheatears of the year found by @rubatroid & this early Tree Pipit on Hampstead Heath today
Birding kinda fell apart after September this year but still managed a decent year with 90 something species locally & 166 overall with White Tailed Eagle, Glossy Ibis and self-found Grasshopper Warbler & Black Redstart among the highlights,
Easily the best bird this autumn! (not my find). Had taken a bit of a break from birding so wasn’t expecting to see anything like this for a while...
A patch tick for lots of us today at Hampstead Heath, a cracking drake Goldeneye! Thanks to those on the @BirdsMBS walk this morning for getting the news out @CityCorpHeath #londonbirds

Slightly annoyed I couldn’t go for the Desert Wheatear out in Kent but a few nice bits of autumn migration on Parliament Hill anyways: Skylarks, 3 Pochard (my 3rd record), Redpoll, Siskins, Pipits and the long staying Cetti’s warbler
Stonechat, Spotted Flycatcher, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Willow Warbler and several more Hirundines today’s highlights
Spotted Flycatcher and a small movement of pipits and swallows today
Spotted Flycatcher, heard only Tree Pipit, 40 Meadow Pipit heading N & large numbers of hirundines moving S until the cloud cleared off this morning. Whinchat, Cettis, a different Spot Fly & Stonechat also seen by others

Am going to try and bird Parliament Hill/Hampstead Heath every morning for the rest autumn to make up for lost time earlier in the year. Started today fairly slow with Spotted Flycatcher & 3 Grey Wagtail N
