Meanwhile, the chapel of @ExeterCollegeOx is quietly getting on with a term of recitals all by female organists. Up today, 13:10, Rebekah Okpoti @LiverpoolHopeUK is performing an organ sonata by Anne Lister (aka Gentleman Jack) and talking about programming.

Yes, the majority of the Horizon Europe funds goes to “science” in the English sense of the term. And let’s hope with scientists that the govt rejoins. But you would never realise from most reports that Horizon also funds Arts & Humanities (part of “science” in European sense).

In Oxfordshire we campaigned incredibly hard for part of the Thames to gain bathing water status. Yet Thames Water discharged sewage upstream from Port Meadow for 676 hours over Christmas. Govt must takes urgent steps to improve regulation, so we can finally enjoy our rivers.

The mad irony of Sunak supposedly legislating to ensure strikes cannot affect “minimum staffing levels” in the NHS. We’ve been shouting from the rooftops for years for minimum numbers of doctors & nurses on wards. And for 12 years the government hasn’t given a damn.

Yes. This👇

💧 I've been flooded with postcards from local people who are appalled that every day water companies poison our rivers whilst raking in multi billion pound profits. The whole thing stinks. Govt should impose a Sewage Tax and stop letting water firms get away with it.
