Kane’s notes for each weekend: 1. Find out what time Carlton play. 2. Take pot shot at Tex and/or Adelaide. 3. Don’t watch footy and write article/think of ideas to criticize Carlton. 4. Check Carlton result. 5. If Carlton win, save for next weekend and repeat.

I wonder if there's any chance Peter Handscomb finds his way back into the Australian middle order this summer.

After seeing the replies and comments about the GWS players... it is no wonder all women say they'll choose the bear every time.

Back surgery for Acres. Here we go. Things are great at the Blues.

I can’t see Kemp getting done. Just doesn’t make sense for either club. Saints won’t give up one of their early picks (and nor should they) and he’s worth more to us than a late 20s pick. Kennedy to the Dogs on the other hand, I can see getting done.

We should ask the Dogs to hand over the pick they get for Smith so they can get Kennedy. We should ask the Saints for Pick 8 for Kemp. Imagine the meltdowns if we were able to rustle up another first round pick on top of trading up to pick 3.

Based on the replies and tweets by the West Coast fans, I hope Owies retires when he gets there and doesn’t play a game.

Houston's preference has always been Carlton. Since his move to Melbourne fell through when Melbourne set fire to their own club, his preference has been Carlton, but willing to get back to Victoria however that happens, so hasn't hampered Port by picking a club.

Acquiring 14 now opens up some more possibilities for Carlton. Houston wants Carlton (although he wont say it). Once his move to Melbourne collapsed, we've been first choice. But he's keen to get back to Melb. We could also have a go at Barrass, which would be delicious.

Looks as though we might be getting an answer soon. I suspect he was probably a bit more disillusioned with the ending to 2024 than I was lead to believe and it now sounds like he is happy to entertain the thought of leaving Geelong. I’m glad we got on the front foot 2 weeks ago.

The question has been asked. I don’t know what answer was given, but I can tell you that Carlton has spoken to SDK’s management.

Where is this surprise?

This is Carlton’s premiership.

Pittonet and future first for SDK. Get Ned Reeves and Jai Serong from Hawthorn. Although Reeves might want to go somewhere he is closer to first choice ruck than back up. But these acquisitions solve a lot of problems.

45 votes is actually astounding. What am I watching?

Cripps ending with 40+ is astounding.

P. Cripps what a man. E. Hollands getting 3 against Essendon and TDK none was interesting.

My #Brownlow 🏅 predictions: 1st: Nick Daicos (36) 2nd: Patrick Cripps =2nd: Lachie Neale (33) 4th: Caleb Serong (29) 5th: Marcus Bontempelli =5th: Isaac Heeney* (27) Some h2h offerings. Serong > Merrett Tom Green > Gulden. Gamble responsibly.

I stand by what I said about playing Geelong in a prelim being a free win. Carlton really missed a trick not beating Brisbane two weeks ago.

What do Nick Austin and Mick Agresta have up their sleeve? It’s clear what we’re lacking in the midfield, so I can understand a squeeze for someone. Unlucky that it’s Kennedy, sucks for him but not a surprise after the final. Owies is interesting, as is Young with no depth…

Wonder if Ginni has a ticket for the prelim next week to catch up with Grundy. He’s gonna need it.

Sad to see him go. I think I would have given him one more to see how his body coped after shoulder surgery and with a new S & C team. I hope he succeeds on field next year when he’s given another chance with Richmond.
