TODAY: Trump taps pro-marijuana legalization GOP Congressman @mattgaetz to become the next U.S. attorney general. marijuanamoment.net/trump-taps-pro…

We may be living in an upside down on this one, but I also wouldn’t be sad if this is somehow remotely true

BREAKING: Chris Christie says Trump to make marijuana a non-scheduled drug that wouldn't be illegal

Calling it now: false alarm. Licensees will have to get through their cities and counties to get permitted for these cannabis cafes. And that’s a pretty big long shot in most localities in CA except for a select few. While I wish this would take off, it’s a nothing burger.

JUST IN: California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed a bill to legalize cannabis cafes where people can smoke marijuana, eat food and watch live events such as concerts. marijuanamoment.net/california-gov…

Have to wonder if the DEA is going to do anything here. Most likely not, but then why flex in the first place if so?

BOOM: A Georgia pharmacy is defying a Drug Enforcement Administration threat letter by selling medical cannabis products in accordance with state law even though that risks losing its federal registration to dispense prescription pharmaceuticals. marijuanamoment.net/georgia-pharma…

The straight up #Florida energy coming from this post. I’m here for it!

Do you all think it might be helpful for me to debate @GovRonDeSantis over the #YesOn3 recreational marijuana amendment? I know he went to Harvard/Yale & is much smarter than me academically. But I studied in THE SWAMP. Gators 🐊 don’t lose. Come on Ron. Bring it.. if you dare!

What's next for Minnesota cannabis? The 2024 Minnesota Legislative Session resulted in significant amendments to Chapter 342, signed by Governor Tim Walz. Steve Levine and Jonathon Duffy from @HuschBlackwell are monitoring the regulatory changes. #cannabis ow.ly/BOMI50SpiTo

Great deep dive by @leddder on the unfortunate distinction that is #California #cannabis. A race to the bottom is an understatement in what coulda/shoulda been the promised land for state-legal cannabis.

California's pot economy is crashing. What comes next? sfgate.com/cannabis/artic… via @SFGate

For the people, indeed. I once had John speak at a CLE on #Florida cannabis I chaired (years ago). He is a fierce advocate for access to #cannabis and I hope his support moves the needle!

#Cannabis S3 rulemaking process is imminent, but pages 85-87 of this NPRM are…not great to see in print (although obviously the law today). Gonna need that Cole Memo 3.0 stat…

BREAKING: The Department of Justice plans to issue a notice of proposed rulemaking that would reclassify marijuana to a less restrictive category, per Politico.

One of the best #cannabislawnow eps I’ve done, and mainly because of @anandastrategy! Talk about someone in the know!

Been practicing business & regulatory law in the #cannabis industry for 14 years. When I first started, the DEA routinely raided #MMJ dispensaries. Cannabis businesses didn't put anything in writing & were fearful of building their brands. Just astounds me how far we've come!

BREAKING: In a historic shift, the U.S. moves to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug, AP sources say. apnews.com/article/mariju…

👀👀👀👀

BREAKING: The DEA will move to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug in a historic shift, the AP reports. It’s currently a Schedule 1 drug, in the same category as heroin and LSD. The move would make it a Schedule 3 drug. apnews.com/article/mariju…

Not many people know what a qui tam action is. But every #cannabis ancillary company (and for that matter, plant touching company) that took advantage of a PPP loan needs to learn that term of art and fast. These types of actions are legit, fast, and unforgiving.

This “could set off a domino effect of reporting ancillary companies to the feds where the majority or all of the revenue is derived from the cannabis industry," @CannaBizLawyer told MM. marijuanamoment.net/justice-depart…

Somehow, a NY #cannabis dispensary is going to take advantage of this, too.

this is the fastest merch turnaround I've ever seen in my life
