Easy to re-imagine how this sort of set up could change the pastoral landscape for the better!

And silvopasture/wood pasture Using things like @CactusTreeGuard I’m glad we did that work But when you transform your fields with grassland restoration and regen grazing… It’s awesome Yep, I’m proud of this place I think it looks and is epic And it’s only just starting

They get everywhere those cactus guards! Thanks for showing them off in such fine company.

In the courtyard were a composting machine L, a Tow and Fert machine, @PastureForLife, @CactusTreeGuard around 2 courtyard trees and Rachel from our Teaching & Demonstration Market Gardeb who was delighted when Peter donated a dumpy bag of chicken manure to the garden

This promises to be a great event. I hope you can celebrate with some sloe gin, elderflower wine, crab apple jelly, blackberry and apple pie, hazelnuts etc. Hedge brash from laying helps fuel our wood chip boiler and makes fine fungal compost @CarbonCallFarm

Spot the difference- same run of wire, same cattle (yes they are well equipped to push posts) but the @GallagherFence electrified ring top posts are standing up to the Longhorn bull. Very light and easy to handle.

Apples in cactus guards mixed into some wood pasture. Year 1. Looking forward to juicing these in a few more years.

Just look how tall the oak has grown in just 3 years from 40-60cm are root plant. 2.6m. Less than the supporting/protecting hawthorn and dog rose but still no sign that they are hindering the tree at all. Most likely they are supporting its ability to make fungal connections.

Interesting skies ⁦@CarbonCallFarm⁩ today looking towards Knock and Dutton pikes… old volcanic cones l believe.

These payments look good enough to encourage people. Do Cactus Tree Guards qualify as fencing? They are fencing but does this scheme recognise them as fencing?

🌿 This year, enhance your farming practices with trees and the Agroforestry Support Measure FT8. 🌳🐄🐑🌱 Integrate more trees and shrubs onto your farm to boost productivity, biodiversity, and sustainability. Apply for FT8 support to improve your farm's growth and resilience.
