I had the incredible honour to witness the Conservative Party of BC swearing-in ceremony from the floor of the legislature. A bittersweet moment when I looked down at my desk and noticed this final signature from John Horgan. A special moment to witness Democracy in action.
Across BC today, people are remembering the life of former Premier John Horgan. He leaves a significant legacy: he used his time in office to help build a better, stronger British Columbia for everyone. His many accomplishments will be felt for years and generations to come.
Horgan was the "Accidental Premier. He didn't want the job. When nobody else stepped forward in the leadership race to replace Dix a reluctant John Horgan stepped forward. He was an average Joe from a working class family who never forgot where he came from. RIP John 😪🙏
