New Seasonal Drought Outlook by @NOAA’s @NWSCPC A potentially robust monsoon may help the Southwest. The East, S. LA, C. AK, and PR may also improve. Drought may develop in CO, parts of the Plains, and an area running from the Midwest to the South. Otherwise, drought persists.

#DroughtMonitor 10/20: Spotlight on CO River Basin, where things have gone from bad to worse. 20.3% is in Exceptional Drought, the most D4 since Sept 2002. Next few days look hopeful, but the long-term forecast is problematic w/ La Nina expected to last through winter. @NOAA
