One of the assets of Central Bucks' Portrait of a Graduate is being a Responsible Citizen. Today, we’re highlighting CB East's club Operation Eternal Gratitude, where students are putting this value into action. These students honor veterans and build meaningful connections.


This week, all three of our high schools celebrated Fall Athletic Signing Day! Student athletes proudly signed their letters of intent, officially committing to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Congratulations to these outstanding athletes!

As part of the CBSD New Teacher Orientation Program, new K-12 teachers from across the district came together this evening to dive into Preventative Strategies for Behavior Management. Our Staff Development and Program Specialists Team led new teachers through four rotations.

Congrats to CB West junior Kayla Sanocki, the winner of our November Lock Screen Art Contest! Kayla drew inspiration from the CBSD Portrait of a Graduate attribute "Effective Communicators" to create a stunning drawing of loved ones connecting over Thanksgiving dinner.


Today and last Friday, schools across our district held events to honor those who served our country. Heartwarming ceremonies featured remarks from veterans and student performances, and students also shared breakfast with veterans.


Yesterday, Doyle gathered for a schoolwide assembly to celebrate the incredible success of the Dash for Doyle fundraiser! This fall, Doyle raised $21,753.31 to support the Doyle Home and School Association. They were joined by a special guest—Phang from the Philadelphia Union!

Yesterday, our teachers engaged in a valuable day of professional development and collaboration. Elementary teachers came together in building-based grade levels, while secondary teachers worked within their curriculum groups.

On Saturday, CB East hosted its second annual Color Run in support of Minithon, raising funds to fight pediatric cancer. With over 100 participants, the event raised an impressive $2,500! Huge shoutout to the CB East students for their dedication to such an important cause.


On November 6, from 5:30 to 8 PM, join our friends at the Bucks County IU to connect with experts who can help students and families navigate the journey from school to adulthood. This is event is a great opportunity to discover support for every step of the transition process.

Lenape showed incredible spirit today by going all out in pink to raise awareness for breast cancer research, education, and survivors! During the Pink Out assembly, Principal David Hoffman took one for the team and had a pie thrown in his face, all for a great cause!


Buckingham first-graders welcomed a special guest reader today: Superintendent Dr. Yanni! Steve read "The Other Side" to three separate classes -- a story about making friends with people who may look different or have different interests.

A day in the life of many students starts and ends with a bus ride. In recognition of National School Bus Safety Week this week, we are proud to spotlight one of our drivers who makes these days possible. Thank you, Kathy, and every CB bus driver for the countless things you do.


Today, Jamison students participated in the SOAR Walkathon! Over the past weeks, they’ve been learning about Service, Ownership, Attitude, and Respect, and today they put those values into action. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Jamison HSA. Great work, Jamison!

It’s been an incredible week of author visits here in Central Bucks! Emmy Award-winning actor Henry Winkler, along with Lin Oliver and Dan Santat, shared their new book with students at Doyle, while Lisa and Matt McMann inspired young readers at Kutz with their latest works.

Thank you to the Chalfont firefighters who stopped by Butler Elementary today to teach students the importance of fire safety and smoke alarms, demonstrate their equipment, and even let the kids explore a real fire truck! It was a great end to #FireSafetyWeek!
