Trading Kadri at half retained and Huberdeau at half retained would actually have a lower cap impact than if Huberdeau remained on the team for the remainder of his term OR was bought out (first 6 yrs higher on average). I wonder if Conroy gets creative in the spring/summer.
Here would be my 1st Tier of Players Michael Misa (NHLe 52), Porter Martone (NHLe 53), James Hagens (44), Matthew Schaefer (33), Caleb Desnoyers (39), Nathan Behm (38), Malcolm Spence (36), Jackson Smith (26) would be my stand alone Top 8. Bad year for Americans, Euros so far.
I have to agree with this it would be incredibly short sighted of management and ownership to focus on success of this season over the success of the team when the new building opens with a aging center core and no top6 center prospects every flame vet should be on the table
