Overnight Broadmoor Sgt Carriel conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle on Junipero Serra, at D Street, for a mechanical violation. During the contact, one subject fled from the vehicle. Brd Officers successfully captured the subject and recovered a loaded firearm.
A number of vehicle burglaries have recently occurred in the Garden Village vicinity. Residents are strongly encouraged to not leave valuables in their vehicles. Please report any suspicious activity!

A statewide Maximum Enforcement Period (MEP) beginning on Friday, August 30, and continuing through Monday, September 2. During the Labor Day holiday weekend, all available law enforcement officers will be on patrol to encourage safe driving and assist motorists.

Please join us in welcoming Derek Shaffer as our new Reserve Police Officer for the Broadmoor Police Department. Derek is an Honor Graduate from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office Academy and currently works for the US Marshals Service as a District Security Officer.
National Night Out events will take place at the Colma Community Center, 1520 Hillside Boulevard, Colma, CA, and at the Serramonte Mall, 3 Serra Monte Center, Daly City, 94014 - between 5 and 7 PM.

It is with profound sadness that the City of Vacaville Police Department confirms the tragic passing of Officer Matthew Bowen, who was killed this morning in the line of duty. Officer Bowen was initiating a traffic stop and was struck by a vehicle.
On July 9th, Mothers Against Drunk Driving California hosted their annual Law Enforcement & Prosecutor Recognition Awards. At this year’s event, Cpl Michael Davis was recognized by MADD with two awards, one for “Outstanding Officer” and one recognizing his 66 DUI arrest in 2023.

On Saturday, Officer Buiand Unit #7 representing Brd PD at the "Police Day" event sponsored by the San Bruno Police Department at the Tanforan Mall in San Bruno, which included K-9 and drone demonstrations. A well-attended event by community various members.
