Witch's butter!

#Fairy Butter Fairies amuse themselves at night by flinging their butter so as to make it adhere to gates and doors. It is very lucky to find fairy-butter in your house. But some say it's merely a type of Tremella fungus, and not buttery pranks from the fae at all. #folklore

Tradition says that along Hardknott Pass, faeries make their home. That Cumbria’s 'Faerie King' Eveling holds his court here. He is an intriguing figure because of his mythological connections, his name may be connected to Avalon. #mythologymonday #faeries #folklore #cumbria
