"women don't want to be mothers" - no. women don't want to bear the burden of motherhood alone. there are too many men who want a wife and kids without having to be a husband and a father.
The root cause is women don’t want to be mothers. And many current mothers (esp high edu white pops) are ambivalent about their choice This is *neither good nor bad* it just is. If you want to change that, you need to truly understand WHY women feel this way which = no judgement

I also would find parenting easier if I didn't have to work full time and had grandparents nearby to help. It's not an attitude issue, it's a resources issue.
my hot take is that if you generally find parenting to be easier than most people do, it’s probably 75% due to managing your own attitude, expectations and selfishness and probably only 25% due to having “easy” kids or lots of help
