Thank you to Avery Travis @KXAN_News for a stellar job sharing Yvonne’s story! I’m so proud to have been a part of her breast surgical care, and hope that ALL pregnant / breastfeeding women speak up for their right to a mammo. #bcsm kxan.com/investigations…

It's time to end the bias: preop #breastMRI for #breastcancer shouldn't be routine! Look at the patient and the cancer, because it doesn't improve re-excision, local recurrence or disease-free survival. #asbs24

This study found that women with breast cancer who used vaginal estrogen therapy (vaginal creams or vaginal tablets), compared with no hormone replacement therapy use, did not appear to have an increased risk of early breast cancer-specific mortality. ja.ma/3QpcVL2

Please spread the word that vaginal estrogen is OK in breast cancer!! When that Danish study came out last year we were all a bit shaken, but there we A LOT of issues with it. This is VERY important for quality of life!! #bcsm #MedTwitter

Great news. But if you are 40+, don’t wait another year for this. Tell your family doctor/NP that you want a mammogram now, and they are obliged to give you a requisition to have one outside OBSP. If you get pushback, there are tips to advocate for yourself at @my_screening

Today, Ontario is announcing a major change in breast cancer screening. It will include women in their 40s by self referral to screening programs. Our research and scientific evidence have contributed ⁦@Anwilkinson⁩ ⁦@CanadaSBI

Sticking a needle for a biopsy through lung tissue - right next to a pulsatile major artery- getting paid $155.00. Plumber gets more. Yeah this is inane. Meanwhile UAW looking for a 40 percent pay raise….

Should be worth more than 3 RVUs in my opinion…

I grieve for the woman you would have become and all the difference you would have made in this world. I grieve for the woman I was when you were still here. But, one part of me still exist, I am still your mom. I will honor your life with action. This is only the beginning💛

Hey @bluecrossidaho do your job please. Immediately. Like right now.

1/Please share this thread on behalf of my physician colleague, Eunice Stallman, who is facing the nightmare of her 9mo daughter, Zoey, being diagnosed with brain cancer several weeks ago. @BlueCrossIdaho has added to their anguish by obstructing access to vital treatment.

Our hospital just updated Epic/MyChart to show an estimated discharge date, which is a little dark when your child is on end of life care 😬

I literally formed a physician social media group inclusive to breast and formula feeders, 3.5K strong, for this *EXACT* reason. It’s time to stop defining motherhood based on their production of a physiologic substance.

If you are gonna tell me that formula is “lesser” I am going to fucking come at you. Breastfeeding is hard. Lots of people have work that makes pumping really hard. And some of us had no option because we had no milk to give. Pumping while septic is a challenge.

Oh we are still discriminating against DO students for no reason?? One of my friends applying ortho sent this to me and it’s honestly a shame. Save your money come application time my DO ortho friends by not applying to a program like this.
