It was great to see @SecGranholm and ministers from countries participating in the Net Zero World Initiative to discuss collective progress towards net zero. I was inspired by the creativity and collaboration in the room.

Great to catch up with @BillGates during Net Zero World in Seattle this week. Thanks to @POTUS' Investing in America agenda, the United States is positioned to be a global leader of the clean energy economy and the fight to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Over the past two decades, global efforts have prevented two billion malaria cases and saved ten million lives. But our warming planet threatens to slow—or even reverse—this progress. No one will be better off in a world with fewer carbon emissions but more illness and death. We…

When it comes to the world’s deadliest animal, the past may hold answers to the future. Evolutionary geneticist @marakat at @sangerinstitute studies 80-year-old mosquito genes to understand how today's insects have evolved.

Since the start, preventing child deaths from diarrheal diseases has been one of the @gatesfoundation's primary goals. Indonesia’s introduction of the rotavirus vaccine will protect millions of children and offer them a chance at a healthier future. b-gat.es/3OAsVZY

It’s a formidable challenge, but I’m optimistic that the scent wizards at @dsmfirmenich will find a way to put long-lasting mosquito-repelling scents into everyday products like laundry detergent protects people from mosquitoes all day. gatesnot.es/47wihMo

About 10 years ago, the African country of Djibouti had nearly succeeded in wiping out malaria—then, the disease roared back. The cause? A highly invasive urban mosquito called Anopheles stephensi. Thanks to companies like @Oxitec, the story doesn’t have to end there:…

To achieve the world’s climate goals, we need all the tools in the tool kit. Direct Air Capture (DAC) is one of those critical tools, making today’s DOE announcement a major milestone. This piece by @AndreasenJack from @Breakthrough is a great explainer on DAC and why we’ll need…

Bradley Tim Reposted

Direct Air Capture (DAC) technologies are essential to reach net-zero emissions, but there is currently only one commercial DAC facility in the world. Fortunately, @ENERGY’s historic DAC hubs program will establish more regional DAC hubs across the U.S.
