We’re very sad to about the passing of Piers Haggard. We had the pleasure of meeting him back in 2016 when he agreed to do a Q&A for us for his film The Blood on Satan’s Claw. He leaves behind a legacy of great work.

This is very sad news. I had the pleasure of interviewing Piers Haggard for @BlackDecagon back in 2016 following a screening of his brilliant film, Blood on Satan’s Claw and had the thrill of watching and rewatching much of his output in preparation.

Here’s Ray Brown, the star of the BBC1 “docusoap” Clampers from 1998, guest starring as himself in 1999’s The World Is Not Enough. Proof if proof were needed that James Bond is an absolutely bonkers and provincially British film franchise.

We recreated it back in 2017.

Every now and then I remember that Don’t Look Now and The Wicker Man were released as a double bill (with The Wicker Man as the ‘B movie’) and my mind is blown anew. How can that be? Two of the greatest horror movies ever made

Just finished this over Christmas. Written by John Bowen who wrote Robin Redbreast and featuring the Norah Palmer character from that Play For Today, but a younger era version. Works as a satire on the middle classes, BBC and the arts world of 1962. Highly recommended.
