Internet of shit strikes again

I am so sick of my Nest thermostat trying to efficiently heat my god damn house I’m about to rip this thing out of the wall and install a fucking on/off switch that respects me and does what I say. Is this tweet relatable or am I the problem?

And they are with batteries and actually many with dead one. If instead, they were without batteries many of them would have been alive

We spent last Friday hearing about some of Dr. @ShyamGollakota's incredible inventions that he and his team are working on. He talked about battery-free sensors that float like dandelion seed, a contactless sleep tracker app, and so much more...you just had to be there!

Great podcast. There is a long history between WilIoT and Jeeva 🤫 this was interesting podcast

In this week’s episode of the Mr. Beacon Podcast, we’re talking with Vamsi Talla, CEO of Jeeva, who are using backscatter communication technology to lower the power wasted by handheld devices. Full episode here: bit.ly/3NJhhel youtu.be/_Ze3HAOzWCw

Interesting battery free sensing paper coming out

Thrilled to have presented my internship work @AcmSensys this week. In this work, we show how to make batteryless systems intelligent and inference capable via encoded Tsetlin Machines. Thanks @TousifSRahman @a_montanari @raswak @RishadShafik for your support and innovative ideas

Those are some big super capacitors

So I got two CdaCAP lithium ion capacitors 250F and 750F from Aliexpress. I think I will make a test and comparison with @Vina_hycap and @eatoncorp and document on a hackaday.io page.

It is impressive but still incremental, somewhat equivalent to what I cite as Intel's progress down the curve of nm. Good progress and predictable.

This is great counter example to common notion that major innovations cannot happen within large companies as sometimes stated by @vkhosla
