Still scratching my head trying to figure out how employer National Insurance contributions of 15% in 2023 didn't result in price increases/workers layoffs, but restoring employer National Insurance contributions back to 15% in 2024 will when economic conditions are much improved

Look I’ll be honest, I’m an employer & not overly happy at increase in NICs, but I know my employer allowance has risen to mitigate some of this. At the end of the day I want staff who can see a dr when they are ill & future employees taught in schools that aren’t crumbling.

Tax as a proportion of GDP: 🇫🇷 France: 46.1% 🇩🇪 Germany: 39.3% 🇧🇪 Belgium: 42.4% 🇳🇱 Netherlands: 38% 🇩🇰 Denmark: 41.9% 🇬🇧 UK: 35.3% Taxes are not too high in the UK. The problems are inequality, low wages and austerity.

Huh. The dildo of consequence has arrived well and thoroughly unlubed, it would appear, and the sentencing remarks* make it abundantly clear that it was absolutely right on target this time. Now, before anyone jumps on the “Two Tier Justice” bandwagon, let me make one thing…

On today's flight, we have followed the AV geeks' advice to book the penultimate row in economy with a gap in between us. All good so far.

I now want to look in more detail at Jenrick's nasty propaganda video. It starts with a few examples of cases to make people angry. But those examples are in fact irrelevant to the case he is trying to make. Jenrick has been an Immigration minister. He must know that the main…

Excellent performance from Martinelli so far #teamplayer #MCIARS

I’m confused why the PM of this country being given a box at the football is such a big deal, it costs the taxpayer nothing. What about Johnson claiming his lawyer fees, or Sunak and his £Ms swimming pool, I don’t ever remember MSM freaking out in the same way. Wonder why?

Cost to the taxpayer for Keir Starmer’s use of a box at Arsenal: £0. Cost to the taxpayer when Boris Johnson refurbished a press conference room which he stopped using after just 1 month: £2,600,000 Guess what the right wing media caused a storm over?

Cost to the taxpayer for Keir Starmer’s use of a box at Arsenal: £0. Cost to the taxpayer of Rishi Sunak using a private helicopter to get around: £40,000,000 Amazing what the right wing media decide to try and get people angry about.

However much you oppose only giving the winter fuel allowance to those on pension credit, pause to gasp at jaw-dropping hypocrisy of Tory crocodile tears in the Commons today: no tears when Osborne cut benefits for the very poorest children by £37bn

Shocking decision
