Today, the @UN through @UNHCR & @WFP, in partnership with Borno State Govt, began distributing critical relief to flood victims in Maiduguri. Thousands displaced, homes lost—this aid offers a lifeline of hope & survival for the most vulnerable.

In collaboration with @GovBorno & @WFP_Nigeria, we've begun the distribution of relief items to #MaiduguriFlood victims. Blankets, mosquito nets, & sleeping mats have reached thousands of families. We'll give N100,000 to 4,600 households that suffered minimal housing damage.

Today at El Miskin #IDP camp, I listened to stories of hope amidst pain. In Musari, Safiya, an IDP trained by UNHCR in tailoring set up a business, built a home and now trains other women in turn. Livelihoods are essential for protection and lasting solutions to displacement.

On #WorkersDay, let's celebrate the diverse skills of those forced to flee their homes. In #Nigeria, refugees are finding opportunities in the job market, thanks to supportive govt policies. But there's still work to be done for more inclusion. Let's keep pushing! #MayDay
