Would it really be so bad if school officers 👮🏻‍♂️👮🏻‍♀️: - Didn’t wear traditional uniforms while on campuses - Didn’t detain students/kids using the same equipment they detain mass murders - Didn’t walk around armed with the same weapons that prison guards wear Would it really??

If you want a better student outcome give them a better teacher. If you can’t get a better teacher invest in the ones that you have.

Daily emotional check-ins in predominantly minority or urban schools have been essential but neither those schools nor their emotionally states have been at the forefront of teaching practice. Glad you finally got here. Now we can fix it together.

This research just confirms what was already known in education. Students of color are not treated fairly or judged equally. If you know it is happening in the second grade do you believe the school to prison pipeline is a made up concept? Train your teachers to do and be better.

Quinn: To gauge the potential impact of a standardized rubric on grading bias, I conducted an experiment comparing how teachers graded two identical second-grade writing samples: one presented as the work of a Black student, the other white. ednxt.co/38564Sn
