Aaron Butts of our project will participate in this workshop and speak on Ethiopic literature. In the spirit of BeInf, he will also make comparisons with Syriac as well as with the broader Eastern Christian traditions.

Join us in Oxford on Dec. 9th for a workshop on Literary Beginnings in Late Antiquity! International experts will discuss the rise of Syriac, Coptic, Armenian, and Ethiopic literatures in the early centuries of our era. sites.google.com/view/literaryb… @Durham_Classics
