All the paperwork is through, so I can now celebrate: I received [early] tenure and promotion to Associate Professor! I wouldn't have been able to go up early without the support of @ApsuBiology @APSUCoSTEM @LicariMichael Thanks a million!

For the cat. For wildlife. Keep cats indoors.

Another day, another terrifying X-ray This is a 3 year old stray cat hit by a car. Take a minute to process this. It’s pretty extreme...🧵

Come hang out with me to learn about how vampire bats are the ultimate Galentines, how walruses have aunties, and how female hyenas are...weird.

My reading list this year for my 52 book reading challenge. There were a few rereads that I reread every year (ACOTAR, Ready Player One). Favorites were Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, I Am Malala, The Mountain Between Us, and Sun is A Compass. Now any suggestions for 2024?

Right by my house. Scariest 15 min ever.

This was the tornado that touched down in Clarksville, TN earlier this afternoon. National Weather Service Offices in the area will be conducting damage surveys the next few days to determine how strong the multiple tornadoes that touched down in middle Tennessee were.

Tornado raging through middle Tennessee. Be safe tonight. 🙏 #Tornado #tennessee

This is my neighborhood intersection. Scary.

Wild scene a few minutes ago as a confirmed tornado in Clarksville can be seen passing in front of the Whitfield Road camera in Clarksville.

Don't blame bats! New study in our @SpringerNature journal "EcoHealth": While most ecology papers didn't pose bats as a threat (97%), most disease papers did (80%); 2) papers framing bats as a threat to human health received higher reader comments. phys.org/news/2023-10-p…
