Did you know that a single sporophore of Cordyceps militaris carries up to 800 perithecia that can form 50 asci that each produce 8 ascospores that break up in up to 100 part spores. A bedazzling 32 MILLION spores per fruitbody of a few cm high! Talking about efficiency!
