A video about us all at BVS. Take a look to see around and meet some familiar faces. youtu.be/XpxeypU1URc
Brilliant work this morning, exploring equivalent fractions in the pod. This group were using lots of fraction vocabulary to explain what we found out… Denominator, numerator, equal, parts, whole.
Year three held a wonderful exhibition of their work throughout the year. We also performed some poetry.
We learnt about pollination and made bees to help us. We even sang a song and flew our bees around the room. Well done year three.
We are playing a pizza game to explore fractions, in maths this morning. Who will be the first to build their whole pizza?!
We completed a pattern seeking enquiry where we found out how important water and light were to help our crews seeds grow. We recorded our results with a picture of each pot. What do you think was the pattern?
We have taken part in a fabulous workshop introducing us to extraordinary extinct creatures. We even got to make our own. Thank you to Jill and Jennifer for reading their book to us and teaching us so much.
Having fun with our first to activities - bird watching and plant detectives! Dyke dipping and habitat trail after lunch.
We practised our scientist skills of observing and labelling by drawing flowering plants in our school gardens.
Y3 enjoyed inviting children and families into our classrooms as part of our Olympic themed Family Learning afternoon. Together we created Olympic hand rings. Inspired by the Olympic rings, Olympic values and motto.
What’s the time year 3? We have been exploring minutes to and minutes past.
We practised observing by looking at some soil and writing down what we saw. Scientists have to look very closely and be able to record what they see.
We observed, sorted, grouped and described rocks today. We practised our scientist skills of observing, recording and interpreting and worked as a team. Well done!
We researched livings things that would be found in the Norfolk Broads habitat.
We ordered and sorted the steps that describe how a fossil is made. Great teamwork.
This Maths group explored the number 15 today. Superb exploring!
In computing, France Class learnt how to use time sequencing in Scratch when programming sprites to create an animation. @BVS_STEM
We learnt about sedimentary and metamorphic rock formation and acted out the rock cycle.
