Saddened to hear of Teri Garr's passing today at the age of 79. Garr shone brightly in both comedic and dramatic roles, from an Academy Award nomination for her role in "Tootsie" (1982) or her iconic german accent as Inga in Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein" (1974). RIP.

German-born Marlene Dietrich was one of the brightest stars in the Hollywood firmament. She could bring you to your knees simply by lighting a cigarette. But it wasn't just about looks. The lady could sing... and she could really act. bestmoviesbyfarr.com/articles/marle…
Some say the term “movie star” is outmoded. But I think the term still applies to George Clooney, who’s very much with us as he nears retirement age (63) this month. But don’t expect him to slow down. bestmoviesbyfarr.com/articles/best-…
Actor Alain Delon, whose life was every bit as eventful as his films, passed away last month at 88. He was one of the last stars standing from that fertile period in the sixties when French films were all the rage. The five best Alain Delon movies: bestmoviesbyfarr.com/articles/alain…
Saddened by the passing of James Earl Jones at 93. Though he's often remembered as the iconic voice of Darth Vader, I found him magnetic in every role in his 7 decades-long career.. Some of my favorites: "End of the Road", "Matewan", "The Hunt for the Red October" and more. RIP.
