Absolutely! Matty Approved

'95 Saints were legit. Would've given some affiliated teams a battle.

I played Indy Ball later in my career. I played for great managers/Cities. St. Paul/Bridgeport/Montclair. If he hit .300 why wasnt he in a major League Org.? People would of seen he was a hitter? If your not hitting .300 you weren’t much.

The numbers and league will tell you. A .300 guy in the American Association with 200 abs is a hitter.

A few things to note here. Was out of the game at 25. Red Flag 🚩 Indy Ball career-no affiliated ball- Red Flag 🚩 Teaching this- Red Flag 🚩 Not Matty Approved- Red Flag 🚩

Welcome @steve_sulcoski the newest HLP #guru lauded by the pisser #tragicron as the next great #HeLP instructor. BTW Steve was also a terrible hitter in his short career in Indy ball. Seems to be a theme with the HeLP crew. #shegone @twuench @billdubs @SliderDominate @ROXSystem

Just a quick tip-Your to far back from hitter-You should be able to reach with your glove hand and touch back of the knee of the hitter. Pros-More pitches r caught, less will hit the ground-pitches will travel less distance, better presentation to umpire. Cons-nothing

I’ve been working hard on my receiving and pitch presentation. Here are some game clips from the last couple tournaments. Working with my awesome pitchers to support our team! Can’t wait for PGF Show Me the Money in GA! 💙🧡 @ECBulletsEllis @ExtraInningSB @IHartFastpitch

Learn new ideas and expand knowledge? New ideas have to be potential upgrades. Expand knowledge would be productive if the knowledge thats expanding is positive or proven or has the potential. If its negative or unproven or not an upgrade what would that be?

"The ability to learn new ideas and expand knowledge about every single aspect in the catcher's position." Nothing but catching from December 13th to the 15th at #CatcherCON24. 🎟️ catching-101.com/catchercon-202…

Every part of this is much better! Quiet-Little or no movement-target-better presentation-Perception is much better-Covering entire zone-stationery body to throw too-protecting umpire-In better position to block/throw/ field/pickoffs-no catchers interferences ect. Matty Approved

Would be nice to see someone catch like this again. This One Knee BS is killing the position. One Knee and snatch and steal garbage.

A rehearsed bout.

Raise your hand if you think the Paul vs Tyson fight was rigged 🙋‍♂️ He stood there the entire 8 rounds taking punches and biting his glove. But Tyson during training looks completely different..

😂

Jimmy approved for being Matty approved

😂

Partners fielding practice

I dont see this at all anymore. Looks beautiful and the best and easiest way to receive pitches. Why did we ever leave this style? Matty Approved!

Had some fun showing off with the boys this morning on catching CBs ... did some no look receiving

A rehearsed bout! Not Matty Approved!

What an utter disappointment! I know it was a fake fight but @MikeTyson never even tried! I guess it’s my own fault for staying up to watch it thinking it just might be real. 🤦#shegone

Maybe they could work on covering 1B together?

Gerrit Cole & his wife are relationship goals 😍

His teammates and native players cant stand him! Either can the coaching staff. Fans love him because he wins games and acts like a 🤡 kind of like a circus. He makes the team money , puts people in the seats.

Trevor Bauer is a talented pitcher but…he’s his own worst enemy. This behavior might be celebrated in 🇲🇽 but I’d be surprised if he ever plays in the @MLB again. This video contains explicit language. #shegone @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @billdubs @SliderDominate @ROXSystem

Its all over the place! Look at the lower levels. Its the plague!

Braves will not say it publicly, but Fasano bringing this one knee nonsense to the Braves the last couple of years cost him his job. d'Arnaud and Murphy both had defensive declines. It was very noticeable this year in blocking balls and throwing runners out.

This situation is acceptable. But how did we get to this point? R catchers looking for relief, load management ect.? Why is getting to 1 knee a priority? Has the scale dropped? Is the position now softer/lazier/less leadership & communication? Position has declined!

Is there a reason any age catcher should not catch on one knee with less than 2 strikes and no runners on?

Chris-Yes there r levels of laziness specifically connected to OKD. Poor habits r developed connected to this (throwing back to pitcher on 2 knees, less pick off attempts, trying to pick balls in the dirt into body😂. Throwing to bases on both legs. Shifting weight is limited ect

I don't think guys are being lazy... that would be like screw it if it gets by it gets by attitude... imo it's not anticipating it and reacting accordingly

My guess is less proven, knowledgeable catching instructors. The new gurus arent teaching mindset, toughness, attitude, leadership. So were not seeing any of that in this next wave.A special position of accountability has gone to mediocrity and levels of laziness. Not Matty Approved

Where's the disconnect Matt? Why does it seem like the art of blocking is left behind? Our ERA in any ball (hs, college, pro) there was the catchers mindset of no effin way this ball gets by me so a run scores... and then tell the P to hit their damn spots in the dugout

There shouldn’t be trade offs in catching! Why? And thats one of the problems. Its a tough and difficult position, thats why were special. Trade offs, shortcuts, load management, laziness ect. R unacceptable! Position is now weaker all across the board! Gurus r a big part of that

Why not just say: “We sacrifice blocking/throwing for better receiving b/c we-& every MLB/college team-think it’s a good tradeoff”? The kids falling over don’t believe they move as well w/ 1KD. For $10m to block 96 in the dirt 3ft to the left/right, how many Cs are starting 1KD?

That’s because Gurus dont know how to block or throw. I learned from guys like Barry Foote, John McLaren, John Sullivan, these guys were big league catchers and coaches. Very little qualified people out there to pass on proper development . The market is invested by Guru’s 👎👎

I do agree that there are way too many videos of receiving... that was the easiest part of catching... catching the ball... Not many posts showing blocking or even throwing... A lot harder teaching those movements then catching a ball

Why would u have Verducci present that segment. Why r these guys even on field reporters? The insight given is from non-baseball people (Rosenthal/Verducci) Why do they hire guys like this? A flaw somewhere. Not Matty Approved!

No one is immune from criticism from @Teacherman1986 Tom Verducci! This is a terrible analogy that lil richie decided to use. #shegone @MLBNetwork @Plesac19 @markdero7 @TheJudge44 @FoulTerritoryTV @twuench @Chapel14Billy @ChrisNowak83 @Fiveframeswing @forcefulhitting
