Congratulations to Mark Spader, Head Football Coach for the BGHS Purples, named Kentucky Football Coach of the Year for 2023-2024 by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Coaches Association.

Crews have worked on replacing poles on Cumberland Trace all day and are making great progress! Thank you to crews from Owensboro Municipal Utilities for assisting with power restoration all week. We will let folks know as soon as this road is open and appreciate your patience!

We are aware of the outage impacting 15 customers on Conestoga, Calico and Boone. The tree has been cleared up, but we are awaiting a pole being set before we can restore the outage.
And they did a pretty quick job! Clearing the lines - wish they had time for my driveway though 😜

Ian Gibson represented BGJHS at the regional qualifying round of the Scripps National Spelling Bee held in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, on February 24. He placed 3rd this year and will join the 1st and 2nd place winners at the National @ScrippsBee in Washington, DC, in May.
