Fire Season is coming. Take advantage of this extra time at home to improve upon your #DefensibleSpace. It's similar to social distancing but for your property. #SlowTheSpread and take 30 minutes a day to prepare. #COVID19 bit.ly/2W7oCd8 -JRS

This is fairly amazing. Up to 27 oil tankers were just off the #SoCal coast on Thursday afternoon. This footage was taken by the #USCG. #CAwx #LAweather

The #USCG is closely monitoring the increased presence of tanker vessels anchored off the coast of Southern California.

We are mourning the sudden but peaceful passing of retired Fire Apparatus Engineer Ken Caley. Ken began his career in the fire service in 1980 and retired after 38 years of service. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with the Caley family.

The City of La Verne will no longer have La Verne Fire Ambulances in the city. The LVFD’s lack of personnel coupled with the COVID-19 crisis has forced us to change our operational model. We instead will be using Care Ambulance for transportation. @IAFFNewsDesk @CAFirefighters

Amazing footage of some EXTREME fire behavior.

Shocking footage of the moment a giant fireball explodes from the bush shows just how quickly a fire can move.

Our San Bernardino mountains are a great place to visit. But please remember these “safety” rules: 1. Stay on paved and snow plowed roads 2. Avoid sledding near roadways. 3. Be prepared for EXTREMELY cold weather. Our firefighters are busy helping people that forgot these rules!

Today, as I’ve watched our firefighters perform water rescues, snow rescues, and fight structure fires, I’m reminded how thankful I am for the 1,100 men and women who serve our County Fire Department. #BDC #firefamily #SBCoFD @SBCOUNTYFIRE

Your #SBCoFD crews have stayed busy today with heavy snowfall in our mountain communities. Crews have been responding in snow cats to calls when not accessible by Engine or Ambulance. #AllRisk ^MMc
