Community Harvest Basket Week #14: Thank you Khadija for sharing how rising food prices have been tough, and receiving the basket has been a huge help, easing her weekly stress of buying fresh produce.
On September 8, our friends at the Richmond Olympic Oval hosted the 10th Anniversary of the "Forever Young" 8k annual running event. This year, over 280 participants aged 55+ showed dedication, energy and heart and inspired us all to keep moving and stay active!
Moon Festival Part 2 We were so lucky that Evergreen Herbs donated 20 veggie boxes for our participants to take home! Evergreen Herbs is a local, family-founded Farm focused on sustainability, quality, and innovation in the food space. We were very touched by this generous gift!
Our Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration was so much fun! We were honored to have MLA Henry Yao offer warm greetings to launch the Celebration and then join in to learn how to make snow skin moon cakes! Our Board Co-Chair Jenny led the group in mooncake making. They turned out great!
Community Harvest Week 13! Huge thanks to Jonathan for his help this summer—best of luck at nursing school in Alberta! His dad Alan is taking on the veggie pickups for us! Our participant Lillian loved this week’s basket and shared how much her family enjoyed the fresh produce!

Last Wednesday was Week 3 of our Beginner's Group Cycling for Women. Though the sun wasn't bright, our participants' spirits were! After reviewing ride etiquette and skills with Coach Siobhann, the group enjoyed a ride in beautiful Steveston. Happy cycling until this Wednesday!
