An inch makes all the difference! Slightly deeper seeding depth making life difficult for these rape plants. 1 inch seed depth v’s 2 inch. No pre-em here as variety is @DSVUKSEEDS BEATRIX CL and getting @BASFCropIRE Cleranda in a few weeks. 55 plant/m2, no stress.

A nice end to the harvest last Saturday, Performer SOSR yielding 1.65tn per ac/4tn/Ha (12%mc). A handy way to freshen up a couple of fields that dry out too late for spring beans. Shallow run of the disc harrow immediately after to lessen slug risk. @BASFCropIRE @phpetersen

10 years after the first #FarmSafetyWeek, farming still has the highest rate of fatal injury of any industry in the UK & Ireland. So much has changed in agriculture over the last 10 years so why hasn’t our safety record? It’s time to change the headline!

We’re excited to work with @boortmalt and 50 Irish farmers to help reduce CO2 emissions and increase carbon sequestration as part of Irish malting barley production. in.basf.com/nujmbsf

It’s fair to say that net blotch has taken hold within this crop of spring barley. Text book scenario for the disease - second crop of spring barley established under a minimum tillage system. T1 delayed considerably due to limited spray opportunities. F500 will be applied ASAP.
