“ okaayyyy!!!! thank you, daaaadddd!!!!!!! ” ꒰ she zooms to v. rodger's desk, looking beneath it and inside the cabinets, she found... a pack of cigars? taking one, she inspects it and puts it in her mouth, acting like how v. rodger would. ꒱ “ look at me! i'm an adult! ”
ᅠᅠ ᅠᅠ“ It's fine, kiddo. Just a little slip-up. No worries about it. ” ᅠᅠ 《 He begins to pick up after the incident, gradually sorting the files back. 》 ᅠᅠ“ How's about you go and adventure some more while I pick this up, eh ? ” ᅠᅠ ᅠᅠ
“ oh yeah!! thank you boxten!! thank you!! i will draw you later!!! bye!! ” ꒰ she zoomed out of the room, spotty in hand, waving boxten goodbye. well that's taken care of, at least boxten doesn't need to deal with another crying child ꒱ [ END ]
: [ He sighed before picking up the plushie and looked over it ] … hmm , yeah he probably did it .. it’s okay! spotty isn’t killed ! he’s just hurt [ He said with a smile ] You can ask your parents to fix it!
“ yay!! yay!! yay!! ” ꒰ she hops and jumps around, so much excitement, so thrilling, too excited that she accidentally bumps into a filing cabinet, causing files ontop to flow onto the ground, scattered everywhere, she stares at rodger with a remorseful look ꒱ “ i'm sorry.. ”
ᅠᅠ ᅠᅠ“ A promise may be a stretch. A likelihood? That's more accurate. You keep your energy like this, and it may be in the near future. ” 《 He moved beside Toodles, replacing the magnifying glass in her hand with his own.》 ᅠᅠ
꒰ she stared down at the plushie, she pointed at the chewed out parts ꒱ “ puppy killed spotty... ” ꒰ the only culprit in this situation was pebble, who else could've ripped apart and chewed up spotty? the answer was obvious ꒱
: [ He was smiling happily but that all dropped when she heard what toodles said and glanced at the plushie ] ohh dearrrr .. [ he murmured to himself , he dunno how to do this ]
“ omg???? really??!!!! reeeaaallllyyy???!!! you promise????!!!!!!! ” ꒰ her head popped up from behind a cabinet, a magnifying glass in hand, pretending to be a little detective, the thought of being able to work on a case... what a dream! ꒱
ᅠᅠ 《 He chuckled slightly at the sight, standing back up and moving to reoorganize the collateral damage. 》 ᅠᅠ “ You've got some funk, kid. Maybe I'll let you co-star one of my cases, one day. ” ᅠᅠ ᅠᅠ
“ really?! where?! ” ꒰ toodles immediately bolted to the cardboard box, grabbing spotty and hugging him except.... he's ripped apart and chewed up, his eye and ear is missing, toodles stared at boxten with a broken-hearted expression ꒱ “ someone killed spotty...😥 ”
: He’s probably a good hider .. [ He said and sighed , he continued to look around until he noticed the leg of the plushie peaking out behind a cardboard box , he smiled ] He’s probably here somewhere !
꒰ the moment rodger placed the hat on toodles, she went zooming off, pretending to act like a detective by investigating everything, and overall just running around, what a joyous and energetic child she is, she accidentally bumps into a few things, making them fall ꒱
ᅠᅠ ᅠᅠ“ Takes an observant eye to do my job. You'll inherit it one day. ” ᅠᅠ 《 Rodger bends his knees to squat down in front of the kid. He takes his hat off, setting it atop her head as he does so.》 ᅠᅠ ᅠᅠ
꒰ she had fully calm down by now, hiccups here and there but she's no longer crying, she points at spots where spotty could potentially be, looking more and more upset when spotty isn't there. ꒱ “ spotty is gone.. spotty is gone... ” ꒰ she hiccupped, searching for spotty ꒱
: [ He nodded in agreement ] Spotty probably is ! [ He said as he began to walk around the place , looking around to find ,, spotty ,, he huffed . ]
“ o,,okay,, thank you b-boxten,,, ” ꒰ she sniffles through tears, wiping off the tears streaming down her face, she was covered in dried tears and snot, ugly looking baby, but it's okay because they'll find spotty ꒱ “ maybe spotty is h-hiding... ”
: [ He blinked and had no idea where spotty is , he sighed and hoped for the best ] We’ll find him together ! he isn’t too far I hope .. [ He said as he put the bandage on toodles’ head , he kept a nervous smile ]
“ wow!!! you noticed!!! ” ꒰ she tugged on her shirt, showing it off to v. rodger, jumping and skipping around him in joy all because he noticed one small detail, she tugged on his sleeve, motioning him to lean down ꒱ “ can i? can i? can i? ” ꒰ she pointed at his hat ꒱
ᅠᅠ ᅠᅠ“ 'bout as colorful as I'll ever be, kiddo. World's a tough tango. No room for color in such a place. ” ᅠᅠ《 He takes a squinted glance down at Toodles, hunching his back. ᅠᅠ ᅠᅠ“ You ain't looking all too different, though. New sweater? ” ᅠᅠ ᅠᅠ
“ Hhicc,,, hic,,, okay,,, ” ꒰ she attempts to calm down, still hyperventilating, tearing welling down, but at least she's not sobbing aloud anymore. she looks around for spotty... nowhere, she's about to cry even harder this time ꒱ “ w-where's s-sp-spotty.. ”
: [ Boxten didn’t know what to do , he kept looking around before going to his pockets and eventually found a bandaid ] s- shh shh .. ca- calm down ! i’ll heal it up , okay ?
“ hic- hic ssob.. w..WAAAAAA..!!! ” ꒰ Toodles was full on crying, a mixture of ichor and tears dirtied her face, tears welled up even more as Boxten picked her up. ꒱ “ WAAAAA!! I WANT!! I WANT MY PAPA!!! ” ꒰ she was crying, snot dripping, ugly faced. she wants her dad. ꒱
: [ He was panicking , should he call rodger or anyone . he picked toodles up ] B- be more carefull !! .. a- are you okay ? I might have some spare bandages …
꒰ she covered her drawing with her arms, hiding it from sight of flutter, some parts of the drawing leaking out from the sides ꒱ “ you can't see it yet! it's for papa and everyone else! ”
