An Israeli woman tells what happened to her and her children when Al-Qassam fighters entered her house! One of them asked for her permission to eat a banana if possible and told her that they are Muslims who do not harm children and women! اسرائيلية تروي ما حدث معها ومع اولادها…
Our Palestinian Ambassador to the UK, [@hzomlot], highlights the hypocrisy present in Western and Israeli media. “I refuse to answer the question, because I refuse its premise.”
The government is trying to solve the NHS workforce crisis, not by recruiting and retaining more doctors, but by training cheaper replacements. They wouldn't do this in other safety-critical industries, why in medicine? Say NO to AA expansion. anaesthetistsunited.com/sign-up-now/
Childcare and exams don’t do very well together, do they?
The BMA is deeply concerned that Epsom and St Hellier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to force Dr Usha Prasad to pay the Trust’s costs in relation to the employment tribunal process stemming from Dr Prasad raising patient safety issues🧵
NHS Consultants Strike Today I support them; they take on untold amounts of responsibility and stress They are who I and the entire country turn to when we need the best expert advice and care available They are irreplaceable Pay them properly @SteveBarclay
Consultant anaesthetists train for a minimum of 14 years; 7 postgraduate years, 2 foundation and 5 medical school. AAs train for much less. There are no shortcuts in safety-critical industries. anaesthetistsunited.com/sign-up-now/
Traumatised for life
Become ungovernable
We know we aren't alone. We know you are fed up with being overlooked and underpaid. We know you don't want your training handed over to AAs. Read our mission statement, and support our call for an EGM ⬇️ anaesthetistsunited.com/who-are-we/
Remind us why we need to expand AA places? There are hundreds of anaesthetists who are more than capable of filling the gaps and more! Source: NHSE specialty fill ratios anaesthetistsunited.com
The NHS workforce plan outlines the biggest change to the provision of anaesthesia in the history of the NHS. In safety critical industries, we don’t take shortcuts. It is unthinkable to me that we would go along with this.
A roll-out of 2000 Anaesthesia Associates would fundamentally change the landscape of anaesthesia delivery in the UK. Let's talk about that.
Enough is enough. It is time for action. We are calling for an Extraordinary General Meeting of the @RCoANews to directly influence the College decision-making machinery. Are you a member of the College? You can help! #TimeForEGM anaesthetistsunited.com/sign-up-now/
EXCLUSIVE: The doctor who helped catch Britain’s worst baby killer. Dr Ravi Jayaram spent two years pleading with hospital managers to investigate Lucy Letby. Instead, they made him apologise and attend mediation with her.
Imagine a postgraduate career structure where doctors could progress and develop in one organisation, at their own pace, towards a number of potential future senior roles. This is exactly what the SAS contracts and documents describe. The barrier to this is only culture.
I have been and still struggling to control my fear of failure. Especially in these couple of days. I guess embracing the fear, failure and all the negative daunting thoughts is just a part of the process yet hopefully a small bit of it and not to take more than it should.
If you didn't get your desired results today, don't give up. I went from stocking shelves in a corner shop as a refugee to becoming an NHS doctor. I failed. Failed. And failed again before I achieved my dream. It's in failing that we learn how to overcome & how to be better.
Not sure if I’ve seen a worse typo…
Congratulations to you if you got the grades that you wanted and if you didn’t get the grades you wanted please don’t let it affect your mental health. You are so much more than the grades you receive. #ResultsDay #alevels2023
Are you sitting on Twitter wondering why doctors are on one hand complaining about being understaffed & simultaneously incandescent with rage about mushrooming non-doctor roles? 🧵 for you.
