We are hopeful to move into the new PKS just after the holidays! This modern building provides a subtle nod to the original historic one, and we can't wait to welcome our students and families in to see it. wsfa.com/video/2024/11/…

As a former coach, watching students achieve their dream of playing college sports is always a good day, but it hits differently when it's your child signing those papers! I am incredibly proud of my daughter and excited for the opportunities ahead of her in the years to come.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Tidmore's family. He was a great man who cared deeply about our students, staff members, and communities. Autauga County Schools was blessed to have him serve as Superintendent. waka.com/2024/11/18/for…

Congratulations to the 2024-2025 Teachers of the Year! This picture is full of heart, talent, and dedication from all corners of our system! These people and their colleagues are what make our district successful. Keep up the life-changing work, I'm behind you all the way!

This month's board meeting was an exciting mix of Teacher of the Year recognitions, annexing PHS into the city limits, a third-party financial overview, and capital improvements at nearly half of our schools. #WhyNotUs elmoreautauganews.com/2024/11/14/phs…

Prattville Kindergarten School construction is complete! While the campus has passed all the inspection checks, there are a few of outstanding details required to make the facility operational ahead of a tentative mid-January transition.

I'm disappointed, obviously, but we set out to get a mandate from the people, and based on the results, our citizens have spoken loud & clear. Property taxes are off the table, so it's back to square one to give our students and teachers what they need. bit.ly/3YE8q3r

Thank you to long-time educational reporter @Trish_Crain and @ALDailyNews for the opportunity to share about our upcoming ad valorem school tax referendum with a new audience this week. #OneAutauga

Autauga County votes on Tuesday on a proposed 7-mill property tax increase to fund school staff, security, and facility upgrades, facing local support and opposition. #ALPolitics buff.ly/4hw2DFV

ACS buses transport nearly 50% of our 9,000 students, traveling an average of 4,000 miles per day. In celebration of #NSBSW2024, let's review safety tips that keep students safe on and off the school bus. bit.ly/4haPLEZ

The @PrattvilleC Community Conversations event was a great opportunity to join forces with our legislators to share more about the school tax referendum. We are lucky to have elected officials who continually work together for the benefit of our community!

ACS was honored to host Col Firman, @MaxwellAFB's new 42nd MSG Commander, as he toured school systems to learn more about local education. He toured ACTC and PHS to learn about career pathways & meet with military-connected students.

Learning to read is a critical piece of any child's formative years! Prattville Kindergarten administrators recently held a parent workshop to ensure families are aware of our First Grade Readiness resources by sharing classroom and in-home resources. #WhyNotUs

Yesterday was a good morning to get moving early as the Prattville Millbrook Sunrise Rotary Club speaker. The ad valorem tax facts presentation questions have become my favorite part of these events because we can learn so much when we sit back & listen to each other. #OneAutauga
