If you want to keep the best teachers, pay them like they're the best and also treat them like they are the best. Few teachers leave an environment where they feel valued, supported, appreciated, and treated like professionals.
Could you be a pioneer on the frontier? Today students got live like pioneers by hauling water, washing clothes with a washboard, “milking a cow”, make tin art, real candles, butter, and a button whirligig.
