This is SO exciting. Can’t wait to see what he has in store for NASA’s future. We could see NASA return humans to the moon and reach mars under his leadership. Maybe the new administrator will go up and repair Hubble himself!

I am honored to receive President Trump’s @realDonaldTrump nomination to serve as the next Administrator of NASA. Having been fortunate to see our amazing planet from space, I am passionate about America leading the most incredible adventure in human history. On my last mission…

Finally, we will see a free Wi-Fi spot at the South Pole, 430 km above. Fram2 will use Starlink in space, providing valuable data for future communications systems necessary for human spaceflight missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. We’ll continue to help test laser-based…

Never has a man achieved a goal so diametrically opposed to his wishes. Establishing a free Wi-Fi spot at the South Pole had fascinated me since a few years before, and now here I am going to set one up at the North Pole. Could anything be more crazy? @Starlink

It looks like we could be lined up for another evening of activity at Launch Complex 36 as both the hydrogen and methane flare stacks are burning at the tank farm. At least one of the flares next to the pad is also burning. nsf.live/spacecoast

Kaleidos is a 1MW gas cooled portable microreactor Radiant will mass produce. There are nearly 10 tons of graphite in a hefty stainless steel pressure vessel. Is it hard to build these quickly? No. See for yourself in a timelapse of our full scale passive cooling demo unit!

Today I introduced the New Space Age Act to clear the way for the exciting future ahead of us. This legislation frees the commercial space industry from the FAA’s needless bureaucratic delays.

Just my personal opinion, but the Navy or Naval Aviation Museum could restore an F-14 for the Navy Legacy Flight at airshows. This jet is part of naval aviation history—not to mention the countless individuals it inspired to become pilots and serve, thanks in part to its…

Dear @rookisaacman, I'd like to propose as one of your first actions as @NASA Administrator to activate 2x F-14 Tomcats to be used for flight test and astronaut training, for science of course. Long live sweep wings, TJ

So... Orion has ~1.2km/s of onboard delta v, and for Artemis II, doesn't need to go into lunar orbit. Assuming they're not planning on using some of the delta v budget for powerbraking (x.com/BellikOzan/sta… ?), if your LV can get the ~26.5t spacecraft to ~LEO+2.2km/s or so…

On the Artemis call Reid said they can't go in lunar orbit w/ Artemis II, b/c it would not let them provide the milder return trajectory they need for the heat shield. Does anyone here know if this is b/c of the availability of return windows or if they are planning on using…

And just like that...we have a booster on the OLM. From gridfin cocking to chopsticks down in under 8 hours. This has to be a record, right? @LabPadre

I'm very excited about having the opportunity to speak with @astro_Pettit while he's on the ISS!!! I'll be recording it and releasing it later. I'm tickled pink because Don was in the second ever Everyday Astronaut photo in 2014! (He repurposed used garments as a seed bed)

Bill Nelson: Currently talking about SLS and Starship and other commercial entities working together in a partnership for Artemis, he doesn’t think it’s a legitimate question that Starship takes over everything. Eric Berger: SLS IS ABOUT TO BE CANCELLED AND REPLACED TRUST ME 😡

Flying Saturday to Mach 3 and 30,000ft! All surfaces control pitch and yaw at a low rate with a really smoothed input. This should keep things pretty tame for what is objectively a high risk flight. The top two surfaces mix in roll control

Another day, another stubby thing sticking up out at SLC-46. Wanted to make sure it was a launcher-type structure for the hypersonic missile. Dug out the telescope. It sure looks like the few DoD document images released showing the LRHW / Dark Eagle launcher other tests.🔭👀

Starship Flight 7: Here we go. Booster 14 is coming out to play ahead of a roll to Pad A for a Static Fire test. Ship 33 is heading to Masseys later for a Static Fire test. January launch date looking very likely. nsf.live/starbase

.@SenBillNelson announces that the Artemis 2 mission will now target launch in April 2026, though they are working to move up that timeline. Artemis 3 is now pushing to mid-2027 "assuming the SpaceX lander is ready." Follow along for updates: spaceflightnow.com/2024/12/05/liv…
