In partnership with @CD6LosAngeles, today we launched a Solar Lighting Pilot in Van Nuys to build on our efforts to create a safer, more resilient LA. These new street lights are just one of many being installed across communities to locally generate and store clean energy.

One year ago today, we declared a state of emergency on homelessness. Since then, we’ve used unprecedented urgency to bring more than 21,000 Angelenos inside and build more housing, faster. Nothing will stop Los Angeles.

From Zach Seidl

LAMTA is working hard to get us a Transit system. @LAlight @LACity

More bus shelters are coming to the Valley and heat dense communities across Los Angeles. Through a @BSSLosAngeles program we are going to dramatically expand the number of bus shelters to 3,000 by 2028. This is new momentum for much needed bus shelter across the city.

We got good news this morning – but that doesn’t change our urgency. All hands are on deck and crews continue to work 24/7 to make sure that the I-10 freeway is restored quickly and safely. Angelenos should stay informed and follow the latest routes at: Emergency.LACity.gov/Updates.

I'm so proud of everything we've built together since 2020. The biggest package of new tenant protections in 40 years. 100% carbon-free new development. A transformed approach to ending homelessness. And real movement toward a cleaner, more transparent City Hall. Let's do more.

Happy Birthday City of LA @LACity @MayorOfLA
