6/This plan, frankly, sucks. And we're not saying that because we're NIMBYs. We want development. We need new housing built. But a liveable neighbourhood needs green space, arts space, room for social services & non-profits, and most importantly, affordable housing.

5/An extra ~300k sq. ft. of commercial/retail space is coming—to a neighbourhood with a huge mall in the middle. The "core and shell" of the historic Kent School building is being offered up as space for a new 30k sq. ft. community hub. Non-profits will have to pay to fix it up.

Feel Good Lane, just North of St. Clair West and East of Winona, is an adventurous walk through colorful murals, imaginative stories and creative place making. It provokes a warm smile, even on a cold night.

#ArtsDayTO is today, but there's more meetings with @cityoftoronto Councillors through the week! We're glad to be meeting with @McKelvieWard25, @JoshMatlow, @m_layton and @stephenholyday to gain their support to help the arts in Toronto! Looking forward to meeting you all!

We're glad to be meeting with Ward 18 @cityoftoronto Councillor @JohnFilionTO for #ArtsDayTO! @NorthYorkArts is working to ensure that the arts are accessible to everyone in your community. Thank you! @TAPA_TO

We're grateful for #ArtsDayTO and the opportunity to meet with @PasternakTO from @cityoftoronto Ward 6! @NorthYorkArts is working to ensure the arts are accessible to everyone in your community. Thank you!

Why #ArtsDayTO? 87% of Torontonians believe the arts benefit their neighbourhood, but 62% of Toronto artists and arts workers make less than Toronto's living wage of $45,000 per year. Thank you @cityoftoronto councillors for meeting with us today! @TAPA_TO

👏👏👏 Thanks for being here @PACTtweets, Nick, @taramazurk!

We know you know that Torontonians believe the #arts make @cityoftoronto a better place to live, and that almost 90% of them believe arts benefit their neighbourhoods, but did you know that lack of affordable arts spaces puts our sector as risk? #ArtsDayTO #TheArtsMatter

It's #ArtsDayTO , and just like everyday, we are celebrating the arts, and their ability to change the world around us. At AMPD, we are thankful to support the education and cultivation of future artists. Spend a moment today to reflect on what the arts have done for you!
