Help me out here - with no evidence to back it & all the concerns below the govt is rushing through a new law that would ban under 16s from social media. Yet with all the evidence in the world that a ban on gambling advertising would work we hear crickets? 🦗#pleaseexplain

Okay, I have spent some time analysing the kids' social media ban Bill and holy hell, this is bad. You have one day (til COB tomorrow) to get a letter of submission in and I think it would be great if you did. Analysis. @DavidShoebridge @AdamBandt @SenatorJordon @Asher_Wolf

It’s so hard to get that radio slot right. Sarah Mac did it, with the right mix of serious and humour, personal warmth and solid journalistic and news cred. Present of mind and equal to anyone she interviewed. Loved by her listeners. I too am baffled by the decision to sack her.

Sarah Macdonald is pure ABC. Why don’t the bosses who dumped her listen to their listeners? smh.com.au/national/sarah…

Re: #NACC Joint Committee Brereton uses the word "I" a lot Not "we" He says "I think.." "I don't think..." He's not speaking on behalf of the #NACC, he's speaking on behalf of himself Sounds like a control-freak with tight grip on the #NACC - execs very quiet 🐝 #auspol

I’ll continue watching whatever I missed, tonight/over weekend, but what I’ve seen so far from the NACC Commissioner is incompetence, arrogance, gaslighting, even sheer stupidity. Reminds me of the worst witnesses we had during the RobodebtRC, just a disgrace!

What a load of BS. As a mother of a victim, I would have rathered an outcome of no findings (which I highly doubt) than no investigation at all 😡

The hypocrisy of journalists. Attacking the PM AGAIN as “airbus Albo”. Only problem is….they’re attacking him from the same place he’s in!!! Why don’t they stay home? Hypocrites!

Just when you thought public confidence in Brereton couldn't get any lower

Why Peter Dutton Should Shut the F*** Up About Immigration Peter Dutton is back in the spotlight, pointing fingers at Labor on #immigration. The audacity! For a man who left Australia with an immigration system resembling a train wreck, it takes some gall to criticise others.…

Big day for NACC Commissioner Brereton who’ll be in the hot seat from 12:30pm today. There’s prob nothing he can say or do that will restore confidence in the NACC. His response to his failures scream of incompetence & arrogance. Will he at least have the decency to say sorry?

It seems employer lobby groups will say anything to wind back workers rights. Here ACCI says small business owners are suffering from mental health problems because of multiemployer bargaining. Small businesses are exempt from multiemployer bargaining!!!!

NACC Commissioner Brereton concedes he made a “mistake” when NACC decided not to investigate Robodebt referrals but says the matter was not high enough a “priority” anyway. “If we investigated Robodebt, there would be other things that we would not be able to investigate”🤨

Isn't it amazing that 100% of all the 'inadvertent errors' made by the ABC disadvantage Labor.

Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion dollars in 2022. Today it is worth $9.4 billion, reflecting a decrease of nearly 79% from the acquisition price. This is the man who will be heading up the Department of Government Efficiency.

Helen Haines “But clearly Commissioner Holmes had concerns that there was corruption.” Paul Brereton “that is entirely speculative” 🤨 The arrogance of this man is extraordinary.

NACC Commissioner Brereton says bcoz he didn’t think further penalties or referrals for prosecution would apply, he chose not to investigate to find anyone anyone on Robodebt as “corrupt” bcoz he says it would “not advance the public interest” What rubbish.
